During the week we received instruction in Navigation and W/T [Ed: wireless telegraphy]

This morning, a couple of tugs arrived at the James Watt Dock, and about noon, started moving the ship out into the stream. There, the tugs were cast off, & the ship steamed westward along the channel and through the Anchorage to the Floating dock off Helensburgh [Ed: north of Greenock]. Here, the original tugs, plus two more, got busy & in a surprisingly short time the Dockyard hands were busy fitting timbers.
