March 24 (Sat) 1945, Alexandria, Egypt

Embarked a further small supply of ammunition and more stores yesterday, and today carried out a 4” shoot at a sleeve target, this latter mainly for the benefit of P2 mounting & the communications thereto. A soccer match was played this afternoon between the Boys’ Division and the Gunroom, at Lycee Ground, Chatby [Shatby]. We held our own during the first half but the superior teamwork & knowledge of the game of the Boys enabled them to score several goals in rapid succession towards the end and the final score was 6-1 in favour of the Boys’ team.
